"Good writing" comparable to the quality of literature throughout the ages might just have absolutely nothing to do with the charm or even artistic value of a media. I think that as long as something you watched or read or seen left an effect on you and made you feel something, then it did its job. Technical skill is just one of the many ways to reach that intended goal, sometimes even forgone entirely.
On that note... My thoughts on Danganronpa have definitely changed from my initial impression to my current one after a difference of 7 years, and yet it's still something unique.
I had a special heart pounding experience that I haven't been able to replicate since, even if I play it now and realize the not so perfect writing I was completely oblivious to.
