The Jeffrey Epstein thing is really funny.
You have a political base that has grown increasingly more pedo hating. They accuse Democrats of being pedos, especially during the rise of tranny shit. You have Pizzagate, you have the Hunter Biden stories, and you have Qanon. You have accusations against Bill Clinton and Joe Biden. You have the explosion of the Epstein case which has riled people even more. You have Trump himself accuse Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton. Vance is getting in on it, you have Pam Bondi and Kash Patel address it. It always felt to me the right wing cared way more about Epstein than the left in the political sphere, largely due to the increasing accusations of Joe Biden being implicated. And even after getting elected, they pull off embarrassing PR stunts to continue to capitalize on the Epstein hysteria.
And now all of a sudden? They want you to stop talking about it. They leak out an embarrassing memo that there's nothing to see here, move along. They release a piss poor video evidence that got everyone laughing at how obviously edited it is. Pam Bondi has to do damage control over her previous comments. Media was able to create division in pushing out stories, fake or not, that there is turmoil behind the scenes over it. Trump has to pretend he didn't goad his own fandom, gives some of the worst interviews about it in his entire political career and creates a cope TL;DR that it's all fake. All the while now the left, in contrarianism, are reminded and care about Epstein again to weaponize against Trump while the online MAGA fanbase is once again full of infighting and divided.
It's such a catastrophic fumble. No, I don't think it will ruin Trump's presidency (unless he keeps talking about it like a retard), but it really highlights how Trump never really "got" his voter base. How at the end of the day he's still just a Democrat rich boomer. Trump is a nice stepping stone, but he's not what America truly needs yet.
