She nearly died the first time she approached, during the day. See, here's the thing...when you watch a drow girl growing up and remember when she used to try and catch butterflies, play with the town dogs, tried to help her dad out at the tavern, crying because she scraped her knee, etc., it's hard to think of them as the spawn of evil no matter their race's reputation. So in her home village, Iliira hadn't ever had to deal with the idea that people would hate her just for being a drow.

But, well...at this point, she's gone most of a week without anything to eat. So once night came around, she started looking for a way inside.
