Maragon confessed he had used magic to read her thoughts at one point, and found she had become deeply infatuated with Eadric. Although her behaviour was alarming, there were many men would take their chances against the gods for only a fraction of a chance to be in Eadric's position. Maragon advised him to think about it, and hoped that in time Lady Anasia would recover and her obsession would dwindle, even if her "love" didn't.

Eadric returned to his allies with this information. They too were receiving their fair share of attention from the city's noblewomen, but none to the extent of which Lady Anasia was showing towards Eadric. As they wandered the streets, a messenger came to request their presence in the Lady's manor.

In an improvised and somewhat informal ceremony, Lady Anasia declared each member of the party as official Knights of Wachia. Once again, she saved Eadric for last. Her speeches had been mostly the same to the rest of the group, but she gave Eadric something she offered to no other: She would grant any wish of his choice, and if he so desired, he could have her hand in marriage and serve as Wachia's Lord and Protector, while also having the honour to be her Husband.
