I think you fundamentally misunderstand the people who prompt AI art. They're not aspiring or spurned artists, they're people who are basically consumers who are getting pictures on demand for their own specific tastes and wants. It's not as spiteful or emotionally charged as you think it is. It's just sidestepping the process of combing through deviantart or commissioning something, and being able to tweak it on the fly to get it closer to what you want.
