A video like this should be the gold standard.

If you're talking about any game that's been released more than ten years ago, chances are the people watching your video are already very familiar with the game. Talking about mechanics or down to programming is a depth that even seasoned players may not know about and it can be fun to see how programmers needed creative problem solving skills to get around hardware limitations, for better or worse. Of course most people that make these videos don't have programming knowledge, so in my mind the next best thing they could do to make a video worth watching is to analyze a game's mechanics. What works? What doesn't? Why? Any games that tried something similar and failed? Or succeeded? Why? Compare and contrast.

It can be insightful to hear from someone go into exactly why they think a certain level or boss or mechanic works, and this can easily be made in a format that's five minutes or less. Shit, Masahiro Sakurai, a man with three decades of experience and could likely speak with substance for hours on end, still made his videos all under ten minutes save for a few special cases.
