they probably see authority as something of a bit more power despite them destroying everything in the end anyway even if it's only really in looks, hence why them and other cosmic forces keep being drawn to dedede despite him just claiming he was one day.
also like another anon said, could be a backup plan. granted if you do the bad ending dedede (and whatever bosses in 3 you didn't get all the heart stars in)= their respective world) doesn't get exorcized but they never attack with ripple.
