Last night, the 9th prisoner exchange, agreed upon in Istanbul, took place.

Heavily ill and seriously wounded defenders who had been in captivity for over three years and had defended Ukraine on various fronts have returned home. Among those freed today are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including units of the Air Assault Forces, Navy, Territorial Defense Forces, as well as fighters of the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard, and the National Police. The youngest released Defender is 27 years old, the oldest is 66.

The last of the Defenders of Zmiinyi Island also returned from captivity.
