I have a question about the interception rockets, because there's a way around everything.
Are they detecting the heat signature? Or detecting the metal like radar?
If it's indeed the heat signature, then you can fuck with that by turning off the missile engines as it approaches the target. You would have to calculate a new trajectory of course. In fact in general, the rockets should be coming from way high above and dropping almost vertically down.
These interception rockets will also try to match trajectory to the missile calculating speed and acceleration.
So why not fuck with it a little? Turn the engine on and off a couple times. Have some stern thrusters or something which make the course a bit unpredictable.
That might make the rocket a bit less accurate. But you can always fire some inaccurate rockets and then mix in a couple accurate-rockets.
I dunno it just seems like there's ways around this problem.
