I thought PoP Sands of Time combat was fine for what it was. They really went hard with the animations and making sure things smoothly chain into eachother and you can have some style to it.
Granted I loved WW's combat and encounters a lot, too. Just a good trilogy, too bad it's in the jewish claws of ubisoft
