Two killed, several injured including children in Russian air strikes on Ukraine's Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions

Russian forces launched a combined air attack using guided aerial bombs and drones on the city of Shostka in Ukraine's northern Sumy region overnight, killing two men and injuring at least five other people, including a child, Ukrainian officials said on Monday.
The attack killed two men, aged 50 and 55, who were on the street at the time of the strike. Four residents of an apartment building were wounded, including a 30-year-old mother and her 7-year-old son who were hospitalized with non-serious injuries. Another 30-year-old woman underwent surgery, and a 30-year-old man was treated for minor injuries.
The strikes damaged at least six multi-story buildings, six private houses, and other civilian infrastructure in Shostka.
Separately, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian drone attack injured three people in the Dnipro district, all of whom were hospitalized, the regional governor reported. The injured include two 13-year-old girls in moderate condition and a 51-year-old man in serious condition. The attack also caused multiple fires, destroying homes, garages, and vehicles.
Ukrainian air defense forces shot down ten drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region during the night.
