IMO Toy Story 3 was the final movie of the golden age, it played out like a perfect finale for Pixar.
It’s just that it unfortunately lead Pixar to milk the shit out of sequels. The drop in quality from Toy Story 3 to Cars 2 is jarring.
Honestly I kinda stopped watching all of Pixar’s theatrical releases after Toy Story 4, though I did see Onward and Luca when they aired on TV and I did see Inside Out 2 in theaters. None of those films are bad but they’re nowhere near the quality of golden age Pixar. The only post-golden age movie that feels like a golden age Pixar film for me is Coco.
