you know who absolutely 100% knows who the knight is? gerson. that green old man wrote an entire book series on the prophecy and his son is a priest. so when gerson is going out of his way to ask susie questions about the knight like "... what do ya reckon that Knight fellow is, anyhoo...?" and "Why do ya reckon they're doin' it?" he's being intentional, just like in his fight where he's trying to coax susie in a more positive direction.
