This lecture argues otherwise. Even if some become atheists, religious fundamentalist groups set up strict social boundaries to prevent people from leaving, so they will still grow exponentially. The Amish defection rate is lower now than it was a century ago.

And that's not even taking dysgenics into account. Low IQ people are less likely to become atheists and thereby not reproduce, so you're still going to get selection pressure in favor of low IQ genes no matter what.
