The Idol-Self Is the Only Thing That Cannot Be Saved:

The fire that now burns through all things does not distinguish heaven from hell by geography, but by response.

To the idol-self, that fire is agony, because the idol cannot be loved. It was not made to endure presence. It was made to be admired from afar. It survives through illusion. And God does not do illusions.

Salvation is not the rescue of the idol-self. It is its death.

Not punishment. Burning away.

What survives is not what you tried to be.What survives is what you were before you learned to perform.
