on Kupiansk, capturing the bridge south of the commieblock citadel would strand everybody east of the Oskil river. The pocket collapse would accelerate and the industrial zone would become a meatgrinder for whatever territorial brigade is unlucky enough to be assigned there.
Also, on (fresh) reinforcements, in my opinion Ukrainians will actually prioritize Sumy counteroffensive instead. Donbas will get the frontline shuffle instead (like what happened post Avdeevka).
