What's "projection" exactly? Be specific. I have 7 sons with my wife (We wanted a daughter, but never had one). I'm just trying to empathize with the situation that hardly anyone ever does. Put yourself in his shoes. Do YOU know how to entertain children? You're on this site, so you're probably not THAT young.
If you had to take care of an 8 year old for 4 days a month - what would YOU do? You already have to give up a % of your paycheck for the kid. You have no say in his upbringing, what his extra-curricular activities are, and you have nothing in common because the mother doesn't let the kid do anything that you enjoy.
What do you do?
Could you do it, right now? Are you a virgin? Because unless you're a virgin (not judging, just saying) - you could find yourself in that same situation tomorrow.
