His seething hatred of /v/ doing anything at all led to him alienating most of the site's existing staff and users. He's the literal reason why there was a big enough gap in the site for the 2016 election to have a significant impact on the userbase, because he drove away existing mods, replaced them with people who could literally be traced back to silicon valley and Sarkeesian shit, and then had them delete anything more than calling someone a faggot, even when it was on topic.
