Serious question, any of you play it back in 03 and actually were shocked realizing it was a sequel? Heather being Harry's daughter feels so known at this point that it's basically impossible to discuss the game without it coming up despite it being intended as a plot twist. I feel if you played SH1 you immediately understand what is happening even after just the mall but I find it interesting how people just ignore this.

SH2 is ironically the only game past SH1 that doesn't contradict SH1 lore by virtue of not really trying to connect itself to it. All that is confirmed is that SH2 happens after SH1, a few creepers from SH1 can be found in SH2. I love SH3 myself but as an SH1fag I'm always kind of sad how by SH3 they really started to reach with how the power of the town works. Stuff like Leonard makes literally zero sense lore wise, he's an amazing set piece and design though. It's the same issue any deeply lore and narrative driven series has, you can only have so much mythos before it becomes overly complicated lr have absolutely nothing left to interpretation.
