The only controversy about 2B was a journalist thinking he saw her butthole peeking from her leotard in promo material of her climbing the ladder. Made a big deal about the sexualization of women, and demanded Taro's team to tone it down to which Taro simply said he likes girls and to send him folders of 2B NSFW. Then the game releases and there was no butthole textured. Some think there never existed such a texture and the butthole was an edit or it did exist and removed. Either way the integrity of the game wasnt affected at all.
