Aside from that, Hiruko got the short end of the stick with her entire bond event from start to finish. It's like Kodaka was wringling out his brain for ideas and wrote everything last minute, the other characters's bond events only expand on their characters and have to do with their ingame likes and dislikes and even the direct story at times.
Aside from the obvious topic, Hiruko says she wants to be a surgeon and it's never brought up in the entire game. In fact, she doesn't like medical tools or scalpels like Yugamu does despite supposedly having the same aspiration. Nozomi doesn't like those gifts either, but her history with medicine is mentioned multiple times in various routes.
It's a simple case of complete disregard for Hiruko's character.
