Gets it. Came here to post this. The ecstasy in Lia comes from the tautness of the interaction. Lia's presentation style always twists and pulls in the most intense style. The mechanism of this tension comes in her "drawing away" forcing the viewer to extend himself further to reach out to regain his grasp on her position. More so than this is Lia's raw predatory ability in crafting these moments. Lia's secret power is in creating this vulnerability either without even knowing it or with such a tactful degree of manipulation that the individual is unable to prevent succumbing to the sickly sweet desire of reassuring her. The way that Lia stokes the desperation of the viewer to "correct/protect" the scenario she has put herself into is the MAXIMUM Lia and her true Idol point. Lia is the strongest member of Phase in this regard. The nuanced means of self debasement and retreating into her own weakness to draw out this emotion in tender moments is an ultra high risk move. It's not the nuerotic concern baiting of Shiina, or the slapstick sol from Wemi, or any of the other Deku-coded "I don't know if I'm going to make it through this one guys!" type of stressor that is commonplace in the vtuber industry. The emotive hooks of Lia's performance really demonstrate a kind of vulnerability that only real sicko Liacons could ever appreciate. It's like watching a snake be milked of it's venom. Seeing Lia's mechanisms of emotional engagement and the way she plys them to evoke such sentimentality is such a thrill in the sense that it's behind glass". You know that if you were subject to such glory in person it would utterly consume and destroy you. Lia's landmine quality is that she welcomes you to self destruction through her own self doubt.

Endearing engagement but Lia is not for achievement. Lia has made many achievements thus far in her career and demonstrated her own technical abilities but the "talent" trope of Idol culture is a rather surface level take on her performance. Lia's transcendence of the "talent" trap can be mirrored by a couple other Phase talents if it helps provide context. Da Michi has "the cool", Nasa has "the cute", Pippa has "the sloppa", they are endearing characteristics that supersede any meaningful effort or demonstration of talent or skill. You have super skill based talents in Phase like Uruka, Lumi, Rie, Shiina, who have their talent as the foundation of their performance and broader career, but Lia is special in this regard. Lia IS the main character of Phase Connect. She is THE Phase Connect IDOL. The singing, the dancing, it's all a scaffolding for the real talent that Lia possess and the true beauty of Idol culture. That is to lavish love and support on a cute girl who is unsure of being able to pursue her dreams. All of the award shows and performances fall away in the moments of raw disclosure Lia provides during the unfamiliar discomfort Lia demonstrates during streams like that. That's the friction and heat rousing the Liacon to a heady euphoria from seeing the way in which Lia dresses herself down to demonstrate her position. It's the unheard tilting laughter of Lia knowing you've played right into her hand again.
