Yes, but that doesn't mean that Adam and Mother Sphere were "working together". Adam's solution to the question, "What is the future of Humanity?" is to merge himself with EVE or an Andro-Eidos like EVE. Because he's been trying to fuse Naytiba with Andro-Eidos for a while now. This also absolves him of all his sins over the years like creating Mother Sphere and turning humanity into Naytibas and the war and so on.

However, that's Adam's point of view. Adam may not think it is possible for Andro-Eidos to succeed the human race, but he could be wrong. Remember, Adam is trying to convince EVE/the Player to take his hand AND to redeem himself. He's not necessarily being an arbiter of truth during that scene. He has his own motivations. Additionally, Mother Sphere may have her own plans.

If Mother Sphere is working with Adam or has designs to have Andro-Eidos merge with Adam or has any plans to evolve Andro-Eidos, like is speculated in pic related, she's trying to succeed the human race in her own way. Whether or not you believe that is possible may come down to whether or not you choose to take Adam's hand, but it wouldn't necessarily stop Mother Sphere from trying.
