GameScope:
That brings us to the big question fans are always wondering—how many games will the Calvard arc actually have?
Toshihiro Kondo:
(Laughs) That’s a fair question. So far we’ve released Kuro no Kiseki, Kuro no Kiseki II, and Kai no Kiseki. Internally, we do have a rough policy: we aim to reuse our assets to the fullest extent possible—until we at least match the combined sales of Trails of Cold Steel I and II.
GameScope:
And that figure was…?
Toshihiro Kondo:
Roughly 300,000 copies combined worldwide. Those titles performed very well for us. In comparison, Kuro I, Kuro II, and Kai have each sold around 50,000 copies so far. So that puts us at roughly 150,000 total. In other words, we’re halfway there... which also means we still have a lot of Calvard left to explore.
