Denys Shmyhal has officially submitted his resignation as Prime Minister of Ukraine on July 15, 2025, as part of the country’s largest wartime government reshuffle. President Zelensky has nominated YuliaSvyrydenko, currently First Deputy PM and Economy Minister, to succeed him. If approved, Shmyhal is expected to take on the role of Defense Minister.
