Government needs to set up developer state enterprises and start pumping out prefab houses like they did post-WW2 with Emininent domain to get around NIMBYism.
The housing crisis is a fucking disaster, and next to mass migration, is probably the catalyst for massive civil unreast. Not only that, it FUCKS the entire economy, as Millennials and Zoomers can't fucking spend and all money flows into the hands of grubby boomer landlords and big private equity firms.
The end game of Economists is that everyone will be forced to like a home of multiple occupancy, renting on short term leases as this apparently is the best form of allowing "housing flexability", while home ownership will be reserved for the rich and will eventually flow down to the working classes after decades due to "housing filtering" this obviously is fucking insane though.
