The next day, you and the group continue your march towards the city of Morfis. You were close enough that you could now see the lights of the Sorcerer Capital illuminating the sky. Alvin mentions that he expects the group to arrive at their final destination in another day or two. The closer you got, the more your blood boiled. Your destiny was right in front of you, and you could hardly wait to seize it. Night falls, and while you wish to continue marching to save on time, the rest of your group is exhausted, and seeks to turn in.
The general mood of the camp is still low following Elric’s desertion. Indeed, even you are noticing the absence of the boy’s presence. Not just the absent-minded swinging of his sword, but his peppy and jovial nature that you’d often found irritating before. Growling with frustration, you seek to speak with another of your companions.
