Kinda serious question, how do you guys feel about the way the show overall portrayed Applejack's honesty? Personally, I feel like it was pretty subpar. Applejack's honest nature seems like it was nearly always treated as either a bad thing, or as something that only made her life harder. Rarity never really gets in trouble for being 'too generous', or have episodes saying how she shouldn't be so generous. Rainbow Dash never had episodes where she was 'too loyal', and have a lesson about how you shouldn't be loyal. It feels like Applejack was the only pony who got flak for standing by her element. I can't think of a single instance where Applejack went against the rest of the group or challenged the status quo, and was portrayed as in the right to do so. If anything, I think the series only ever showed why you shouldn't really care about honesty. At best, it does nothing for you, at worst, it's a bad thing and makes your life worse. Thoughts?
