Doodle tattooes just look like someone was too bored in 5th grade and had a sharpie at hand, so either their arms or the ones of their desk neighbors got something scribbled on.

And really big tattooes might look good on their own (if they were a picture or a sticker), but if applied to the body they take away from the "big picture" of the body.
The Mona Lisa will not be improved if an artist paints some cool pictures in the corner of the picture.
That's how I see it. It doesn't improve, it taints.
