I Love Stygian Onslaught...

Many of you will not share my opinions, but please here me out...

First of all, I can't beat it. I'm not a whale, and I won't whale. I'm probably a year of stacking welkins away before I have a real chance of beating it.

I represent the often most neglected type of player in a gacha. I do not spend much, yet I love partaking in the meta part of the game. I like to have really cracked builds, and create highly invested teams.

It makes sense why players like me are neglected, and I'm not exactly upset. Hoyo needs to do their best to improve the casual player experience, that way player attraction and player retention will be at a maximum. If Hoyo satisfies players like me, by complicating the game or adding difficult content, their main playerbase will be driven away.

Stygian Onslaught... I feel like it was made for me. See, most people think its only for c6r5 whales, but thats where Hoyo's genius shows itself.

The difficulty... is perfect. In Every. Single. Way.

It's not so difficult that you literally need 3 teams of c6r5 to beat it (3 teams of the most meta c2 5 stars should do). That means, for players like me, it's an achievable goal. But, its far above spiral abyss to the point where a casual player will simply look at it and not bother with it. This way, they don't spend hours feeling frustrated, worsening their relationship with the game.

I feel like Hoyo has finally shown players like me some love. I can see myself finally having purpose in playing this game. I have a very difficult, but achievable goal, to work towards, and I can see myself playing the game a lot more over the next year or two.

I guess, thank you Hoyo.
