This situation is really sad.
This is the first time there has been significant fighting between two countries that I have visited and enjoyed.
People are dying over stupid political bullshit between their leaders and dumb tribalistic "we wuz" narratives.
I guess that's basically most wars, but this one strikes me as particularly tragic.
Anyway here's a story from my visit to Bangkok in 2010

>bus jostles through bangkok traffic
>she bumps into me a bit
>keep thinking "don't get a boner, don't get a boner, don't get a boner...."
>but then, of course, she did
