This is a misunderstanding of the doctrine of vocation. We are called to love our neighbors in our personal lives, but we still a duty to our vocations. ie. soldiers have a duty to fight and kill, fathers have a duty to protect their families, and you as a voter have a duty to act in your nation's interest to support policies that create peace and prosperity.
