My favorite spidey love story is this one episode late in SPIDERMAN and His Amazing Friends. He meets some alien chick who crashes on earth, falls in love and decides to go home with her, abandoning everything he knows and loves. He says goodbye to Firestar and Ice Man and goes to her planet, but finds out he can't stay and gets beamed back to Earth, super sad he lost his one true love.
He then immediately takes Firestar back from out of Iceman's arms like the pimp he is
