its true that women match with between 1/3 and 1/2 of profiles they like, so obviously they're gonna read the bio if they think you look attractive on your pics.
they have a huge chance of actually matching you when they like your profile.
Men just don't have that luxury and even good looking men will match with less than 10% of the profiles they like, for average fucks or below it can go below a 1% match rate.
So what she's complaining about is really just a difference in how man and women have to approach dating apps.
And yes, it is "have to", otherwise you just don't get any matches at all as a dude.
