Sensoji (and Meiji shrine too: https://www.meijijingu.or.jp/en/about/establishment/) literally tell you on their website that the buildings were destroyed (by the Burgers, by the way, not by the Japanese) and were rebuilt post-war.
And Kinkaju-ji ist -still- made of wood, as before it burned down.
