I know you don't understand the world.
I know you will never understand why things happen or what causes them.
I can only say that I am sorry.
And I can only wish you well.
There are things we really shouldn't know or be aware of, truths not fit for mortal minds.
It does not make us lesser than them.
We are not lesser than anyone.
But, you must know, in your lifetime, you will never come to understand it.
And you must be aware that I have retired.
And that I'm sorry.
I really, truly am.
You did not deserve this life.
Or these struggles.
You did not deserve to inherit this or to be a part of it.
And I am sorry that you have to be.
