I've read forum posts about this from that perspective. They're sick of waiting for their PFs and DFs to fill and just want to be able to log in and play the game without spending the majority of their time waiting. I enjoyed variants for this reason. Doable with friends, but also fine to solo for when I just wanted to hit buttons but not wait around. I think there's a good middle ground but i dont count on our devs to find it.
