Former voice actress here, voice acting in media in general for english is absolute garbage to the actors and basically mandates that if you have an accent you MUST remove it to fake an american one, especially bad in anime games.
This is because american accents are considered the "standard" english and companies get worried if you hear a different accent it might affect how the character is perceived both in the US and Japan/China/Korea and they don't give a shit about anything that isn't those areas because they think nobody else speaks english.
