French actress Eva Green is from a mixed Swedish-French-Sephradim-Spanish background, Berlin is full of French and Polish surnames from migrations dating back to the 1700s, Icelanders are descendants of British and Scandinavian settlers, France already had millions of Italian migrants (and even anti Italian lynchings) in the 1890s, and in Vienna practically everybody has either a Czech or a Hungarian or a Croatian relative.
I'm from Scotland myself, but my grandparents were German migrants and their own family tree is filled with assorted random Polish, Lithuanian, and Hungarian names here and there.
