There nothign special about it. Mexican cartels send you to kill someone to join. Mossad or CIA or whoever else is behind this same shit. They already have a group of top level CEOs and shit in it, and when the "initiation ritual" is complete you get real power in some way, maybe a job, maybe a promotion, maybe cash, maybe real estate at a discount etc...
