I think you're kinda underestimating just how young Max is, even with all the rookies he's still in the bottom half of the field age wise IIRC.
It's still theoretically possible he wins the title this year meaning he would only need another 2 after that.
He won his 3rd title just a few days (age wise) after Schumacher won his first title.
