One thing I never liked about Big Mom's crew is how strictly thematic they are. One thing that I really like about One Piece is how diverse a crew can be. Take the Whitebeard pirates for example. They don't have a consistent theme, it's just a bunch of weirdos forming a gang together.

Big Mom on the other hand is only allowed to have crew members that are strictly candy/fairy tale themed.
