No he didn't say that, Sonic was telling Tails that they could talk, because Tails was clearly hiding his inner feelings and thoughts from him. House of Cards was about Tails' parents, but Sonic didn't expect Tails to bring Fiona up because, in his punk brain, he thought Tails had gotten over it. Just to circle back on what I said, I'm not saying that Sonic isn't a douchebag, but he's no narcissist. In the next issues Sonic respects Tails a whole lot more.
