When I was a kid I went to Walmart with my friend and his dad. My friend was a bit older and had come up with the idea of buying the Imperial Shuttle toy on layaway. It was $60, so you only needed $6 to do it. When he explained what he was doing I realized that I had $6 and could do it too without even thinking about the $54 balance.
