Legitimately I was disappointed when the "10 years of unrestricted AI" was removed from the bill that just passed. Not because I want the big corporations to win, but because I want AI to be able to run perfectly at a local level both hardware and software before the government tries to say "Actually it is too dangerous for individuals to possess, only the government and multibillion dollar corporations know how to use AI safely". Given 10 years of unrestricted development I don't think they could take it away from us even if they wanted to.
