Pop entertainment has rotten their brains into not seeing regression to the mean. In pic related, Meg Ryan's character helps her uncle Albert with new discoveries because she even more talented in mathematics than he was. That's something that's slightly possible but highly improbable. Makes for a cute movie but terrible for understanding the world.
