Your name is Argia Candente, and you are a young Knight (Knight-aspirant, to be fair…) at the service of the goddess Ansàrra, also known as the Sun-Birther.
You used to live with your family on the shores of the inland sea, the Mar da Candéa, as a vintner. You had a promising, peaceful life ahead of you, until merchants from one of the Powers of the world, the Dominion of Frigéia, showed up one day to purchase your lands, and in a matter of months you were turned into little more than refugees.
Leaving your ancestral home for the Landing Strip, the debased territory just outside of the Holy Land, waiting and praying to be let in, you and your family suffered hard times. One day, as one of your brothers suffered a wound during a brutal street brawl, and you threw yourself in its middle to help him, a strange old man appeared. He immediately dispatched the brutes threatening you, and proposed you a way out.
A way into the true Faith.
This man, Ibardo Delebasse, head of a powerful Order of Knights, took you as his disciple. For the past three years and a half you have wandered with him, growing strong under his tutelage, growing devout and growing hopeful.
As you train, you also learned that your silver hair, which you have been born with, is considered a sign of evil influence, and many superstitious believers would consider you an agent of the Enemy. Which is preposterous, but the only way you can change their mind is by exercising your virtue.
And thus, training and following Master, you do.
He has given you many gifts, and the most important one is your Cameo of Saint Bragia Lacresta, a young Knight just like you were, murdered by the Adversary. She used to be a simple soul, for more devout than she was strong, and you have always found support in your devotion to her, other than to the Sun-Birther.
For the past few months, though, due to your training reaching your next stage, your Master had to leave you in the company of three more Knight-aspirants, led by the high-ranking mystic Astoria di Ottava Ora.
You tried being friendly with them, but for almost the entirety of your time together they did not seem that friendly with you. Rubida dell’Obertengo initially bullied and belittled you, Soralisa da Zaribari couldn’t win over her own fears to reach out to you, and the third one, Salicera Fors, who one day you would know as Willow Stark, seemed to just study you at a distance.
Yet, ever since the beginning of this new adventure, you managed to win them over, earn their trust and respect when you saved Soralisa, helped Rubida and supported Salicera.
