I really didn't like this spot for many reasons, namely because the shanpon is all but dead and if Archer drops it, I'm still 3rd (and a direct hit off the other two doesn't win me the game but gives me 2nd). I thought the tenpai is still better than iishanten, and there's the off-chance tsumo win chance still.
I also didn't want to open this earlier for the same reasons, so I didn't. Mortal wanted to take the sha pon with a very slight preference, MAKA with 68-31 in favor of pon.
