this is just a gas station right?
i kinda understand why someone might have gone to the opening of something like this in the 90s when people were less cynical, and perhaps still had a sense of wanting to support local business like ribbon cutting in the 1950s..
but why would anyone go to the opening of a gas station in 2025? i can think it is purely motivated by the need to consume.. and these people all fit the bill. these people are excited to consume more slop. in the hopes that at the end of their slop bucket they will finally fill that void that consumes them
