I already done everything in OC to be honest, all is left is the soulless grindy as fuck achievements and it's not something I want to work toward to.

I don't think that's a fair point, my only real experience with Tera before that was when it released and I just gave up when I reached max level, I think the social experience is just simply better in it than FFXIV.

>I'm always of two minds about those. They could be fun and active, but also a complete unbearable shitshows (wow's trade chat, balmung's shoutchat)
That's a fair point, and a lot of time it was that chaotic as well, but at the same time it felt like the world was alive, you know?
The fact that it wasn't spammed by RMT bots too make it a lot better, I'll give you that.

>I think the only time anything similar was in XIV is early Eureka Anemos during train downtime.
For me it was during 3.0, early Heavensward, that's when I started and it was before crossworld PF as well, so a lot of people used to hangaround Idyllshire or Alex raid teleport, back then the game felt more alive as well like this.

>Oh god I miss being able to buff random people so much you have no idea. This is unironically the comfiest thing to me in old mmos.
100% agree, and it was actually good buffs too, not like FFXIV which basically only had stoneskin and protect kek

>Do people actually do that often in TERA? Sounds more like a gimmick for pricy items than a common occurrence.
Oh VERY often from what I saw, the taxes were pretty stiff so the fact you could send an automatic link to someone and try to bargain or just ask for their price without the taxes was used pretty often.

The simple campfire mechanic that give you back stamina+buffs is really pure soul.
